Gary Fredrick Wong, DMD, MS

Being an orthodontist is incredibly rewarding for me. I get the chance to turn strangers into trusting friends, and in return, I create a beautiful smile that they enjoy for a lifetime! My goal is to create a friendly and caring orthodontic practice where patients know they will receive the most comfortable and efficient treatments possible. I work hard every day to produce the smiles I know my patients want and deserve!

In my journey to becoming an orthodontist, I first attained my Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Toronto Faculty of Pharmacy. I then earned my DMD from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. Afterwards, I went on to Harvard University School of Dental Medicine, where I graduated with my Master's Degree in Medical Science. I continued my studies in the Harvard University School of Dentistry, earning my Post Doctoral Certificate in Orthodontics.

Continuing Education

I believe that an orthodontist's education is never complete. As technology evolves, so should our methods. My patients are always looking for faster and more comfortable treatments, while as a doctor, I want to ensure that my patients' results will last them a lifetime. My continuing education studies are always bringing me closer to attaining perfect, permanent results that are comfortable and quick.

As a part of my continuing education, I participate in the following educational programs:

  • Greenwich Study Club
  • Pankey Institute
  • Piper Series on TMD
  • Spears Institute
  • Seattle Dental Study Club
  • TOMAS lecture series on orthodontic TADs
  • Invisalign® Lecture Series
  • Interdisciplinary Dental Education Academy (IDEAS)

Professional Dedication

I have been building beautiful and healthy smiles since 1993, and truly love what I do. I am proud to say that my orthodontic practice is centered in a wonderful community, where I am able to build strong personal connections with my patients and families. I enjoy getting to know each and every patient, and finding out what makes them special.

In my work, I always strive towards perfect results, and nothing brings me more satisfaction than the day orthodontic treatment is complete, and everyone smiles at each other! When a patient is proud of their new smile, I feel a great sense of accomplishment as well.

Family and Community

I was born in Ontario, and have lived in Boston and Toronto as a boy. I have lived in Greenwich for the last 20 years, and am proud to raise my family here. My wife, Edith, and I have twin boys, Kevin and Justin. In my spare time, I enjoy saltwater fishing, tennis and golf. I love baseball, and am a lifelong Yankees fan.

As a father and as an orthodontist, I know the power of a supportive community, which is why community service is so important to me. As a part of my commitment to helping others, I have served as a board member for the South Cove Community Center, and have been the Greenwich representative to the Connecticut State Dental Association (CSDA) House of Delegates for the past 17 years. I am also a former member of the CSDA Insurance Council. In addition, my wife and I have raised funds and participated in the annual Autism Speaks (NAAR) Walk in Westchester County for the past 10 years.
